Building a just society through organizational coaching

Social Justice in Coaching: Transforming Yourself & Your Practice through Group Supervision

As Executive Coaches, we want to help organizational leaders and organizations be successful. Many leaders and organizations have blind spots related to Social Justice and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Justice (DEIBJ).Coaching for Justice is dedicated to helping coaches to:

  • tackle social justice issues with their coaching clients in ways that are ethical and effective
  • feel supported in their work addressing DEIBJ
  • understand their own potential blind spots when working with DEIBJ

Beginning in the first quarter of 2024, Coaching for Justice will offer groups for organizational coaches to support them in this work. These groups will be led by trained coaching supervisors and will:

  • include no more than 6 experienced executive coaches in each group
  • meet monthly for 2 hours per meeting, for 7 - 8 months (a total of 7 group meetings)
  • provide a space in each of 5 sessions for 2 coaches to explore a case or issue related to their work and DEIBJ
  • include 2 30-minute individual supervision sessions
  • allow coaches to receive up to 10 hours of ICF CCEUs for their participation

Comments from previous participants

The CFJ program construct, with a mix of genders, races, geographic locations, and professional backgrounds among the coaches, was invaluable

I highly encourage other coaches to take advantage of such a rich learning environment

Jo Ilfeld

ACC, Ph.D., Berkeley CA

The CFJ group has been amazing in its grace, non-judgement, and openness. The endless insights that happened went well beyond what I could ever get on my own
